Abstract
Just In Time or often abbreviated as JIT is a production system that is used to meet customer needs on time in accordance with the desired amount. In addition, the calculation using the Just In Time method aims to avoid excess inventory and waste in waiting time. The purpose of this research itself is to find out how effective the Just In Time method is at PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk to streamline inventory and find out the optimal order quantity for each order. Based on the calculations that have been done, it can be concluded that the Just In Time (JIT) method is effective in avoiding excess and wasted inventory, this affects costs that should be reduced and allocated by the company for other purposes. The difference between the cost of the company's policy with the EOQ method is Rp. 325,070,425 while the difference between the company's policy and the JIT/EOQ method is Rp. 371,829,776. From this we can see that the JIT/EOQ method is very effective because it can reduce inventory costs up to Rp 371,829,776. Keywords: Just In Time, Inventory, EOQ
