Abstract

Areta Agung UKM is one of the industries in South Sumatra Province, Palembang City which is engaged in building materials, especially brick and paving blocks. Raw materials for producing bricks and paving blocks must always be available to expedite the production process. If Areta Agung SMEs do not have sufficient raw material supplies, the implementation of the production process will be hampered. In Areta Agung UKM itself, several times there is a shortage of raw materials. As a result of the shortage of raw materials, other costs will arise due to the shortage of raw materials (stock out) and the occurrence of idle time or idle time. To get the optimal amount of raw material inventory, Areta Agung UKM needs to plan the amount of raw materials to be purchased, when to purchase raw materials, so that the production process is not hampered due to lack of raw materials. To determine the amount of raw materials to be purchased and when to purchase raw materials, forecasting is carried out using the Moving Average (MA) and Exponential Smoothing methods. with Lot Sizing EOQ and LFL techniques. Based on the calculation results of the total cost of raw material inventory, the lot sizing method chosen is the EOQ method with a total cost of Rp. 6,685,000, while the Raw Material Cost of Areta Agung Palembang SMEs is Rp. 7,045,000. Areta Agung Palembang SMEs pay more attention to the problem of ordering raw materials, so that the production process can run smoothly to meet demand.
