Abstract

Some universities make Field Work Practices (PKL) as one of the requirements in taking steps to be able to take a thesis or as a condition for completing undergraduate education. PKL in the Communication and Information Technology Office is one of the places used by students to register for street vendors, the South Sumatra Province Communication and Information Office (DISKOMINFO SUMSEL) is an agency responsible for processing information within the South Sumatra Government environment which is often targeted by university students in applying for a place of field work practice. So far there is no application that can make it easier for students to apply for field work practices at the South Sumatra Province Communication and Information Office (DISKOMINFO SUMSEL) because the current application process is for students to deliver their assignment letters directly to the place. In addition, students also have to wait and look for information about whether or not the application for field work is accepted. This is because all the processes for submitting and notifying whether or not the application for field work practices are accepted are done manually by going directly to the Department of Communication and Information. For this reason, an application design was made using the prototype method for the application design of Field Work Practice acceptance which is used for online application of Field Work Practices by students and can also make it easier for Communication and Information Office employees to recapitulate students who have practiced field work at the Communication and Information Office.
