Abstract

The elderly are one of the country's assets that we must take care of both in terms of health and welfare, one of the problems at this time is cognitive problems in the elderly, so that the elderly experience disturbances in carrying out their daily lives. The purpose of service activities is to reduce cognitive impairment in the elderly. One of the interventions we do is to carry out activities through playing card games, cognitive function is assessed with the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) instrument. Activities carried out by starting with education about disorders that occur in the elderly, especially cognitive function, then mentoring and evaluating the initial and final activities, the results of the activities show that there are changes in cognitive function but not significant, this shows that activities can be carried out in a comprehensive and sustainable manner in order to get a more complete benefit.
