Abstract

Background: Antigen rapid test is a new technology that can detect SARS-CoV-2 directly, just as RT-PCR detects the virus directly. Antigen rapid test, good for detecting viruses in the acute phase, does not require an incubation period for positive results to appear, does not require special laboratory specifications for processing, the types of products are diverse and easy to obtain in the market. Objective: To determine the difference in the results of the Standard Q Antigen rapid test and the Ecotest Antigen rapid test in patients suspected of being infected with COVID-19 Methods: The type of research that will be used in this research is qualitative (non-parametric) research with a comparative approach. The Standard Q Antigen rapid test and Ecotest Antigen rapid test were used to detect COVID-19 infection in nasopharyngeal swab samples taken from inpatients in the ARI treatment room suspected of being infected with COVID-19. Samples were accommodated in extract buffer tubes, extracted and examined on the Cased Card Antigen Rapid Test Standard Q Kit and Ekotest Antigen Rapid Test. The results of the COVID-19 examination were analyzed by the paired McNemar test with a 95% confidence level. Results: From 38 samples of subjects studied, 29 tests (76, 32%) were positive with the Rapid test Antigen Standard Q, 30 tests (78, 94%) were positive with the rapid test Antigen Ecotest. Conclusion: There is no significant difference in the Standard Q Covid-19 Antigen Rapid Test Results with the Covid-19 Ecotest Antigen Rapid Test (p=1,000) Suggestion: Standard Q Antigen rapid test and Ecotest Antigen rapid test can be used for the examination of SARS-CoV-2 in patients suspected of having COVID-19 infection. Subsequent studies compared rapid Antigen with RT-PCR in People Without Symptoms
