Abstract

The house is a place for humans to take shelter and carry out activities. Beyond that understanding, the house becomes a place where residents want to feel comfortable and calm. There are many ways that residents do to get the ideal home. One of the ways that people do to idealize their dwellings is to apply environmentally friendly concepts. According to Kwok & O'Brien in 1991 in their book entitled The elements of Feng Shui said that feng shui is a belief system that has its roots in ancient Chinese culture about how the environment and humans interact. Feng shui is the art of achieving a balance between humans and the environment in which they live. Feng shui is the science that discusses how to choose to find and take advantage of good conditions in residential buildings, in order to increase positive energy in life so that prosperity, happiness, harmony can be obtained. Perumahan Sehat Sederhana untuk Masyarakat Berpenghasilan Rendah Berbasis Feng Shui will present and create a peaceful and soothing atmosphere for residents and residential environments based on the basic principles of feng shui in the form of chi, yin-yang and wu-xing which are applied with classical feng shui concepts or known as feng shui landforms. Here also shows that feng shui itself has a relationship between of feng shui and architecture. Key words: Feng Shui, Chi, Yin-Yang, Wu-xing, Landform Feng Shui, Environment.
