Abstract

With the case study research taken at HTO Mandiri, to find out the problems that occur in the quality of Propeller products, which are caused by several problems with insufficient machine maintenance, damaged molds, lack of employee experience, non-standard raw materials and propellers placed on the floor. This resulted in defects that occurred, namely fracture (11.72%), widened out (38.88%), lump (15.33%), and the proportion was less (33.83%). Thus, improvements will be made in order to reduce the number of defective/damaged products as well as calculate production costs and minimize production costs resulting from defective products produced using the Quality Control Circle (QCC) method with eight (8) steps of improvement and applying seven tools. in it and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) by identifying using severity criteria, occurrence criteria, detection design criteria. The results obtained from the repair are able to minimize costs by 3.93% at a cost of Rp. 160/unit, and reduce the number of defects by 1.29%. Keywords: Quality. Defective Products, QCC, FMEA Keywords: Quality, Defective Products, QCC, FMEA.
