Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) states that the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) has reached 211/100.000 Live Births (LB). In 2018, Palembang Health Service Department reported that there were 4 MMR cases in 26.837 LB and 24 infant Mortality Rate (IMR) cases in Palembang. Midwifery caring of Continuity of Care (COC) is a sustainable service for mothers in pregnancy, labor, and pospartum periods which aims to prevent the risks of complications during the times and decrease the number of MMR and IMR cases. This final task report provided information related to midwifery caring COC to Mrs. L at Independence Midwifery Practice (IMP) of midwife Lismarini palembang from March 22 2021-April 30 2021 that covered periods of pregnancy, labor, newborn baby, postpartum, and neonate. Data collection used primary and secondary data. The case study method used subject Object Assessment Plan Development. The result of the ninth Antenatal Care (ANC) examination of Mrs. L showed that Mrs. L had mid anemia, normal labor process, low baby weight, postpartum, and neonate that was still in the physiological scope. In conclusion, Mrs. L had a pregnancy with mild anemia in the first three semester, normal labor, low weight newborn baby, postpartum, and neonate in physiological scope. The Independence Midwifery service is suggested to maintain and improve the service midwifery quality.
