Abstract
Background: The existence of the pandemic period brought several changes, one of which was the learning method that had to be done face-to-face now had to be done boldly. Of course, this is not easy to do, given the good and bad impacts it causes. the good thing is, learning can be done anywhere and anytime, the bad impact is that students are easier to experience dizziness and stress and parental assistance is needed to get or maintain the desired achievement results. Seeing from the impact caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, it is very necessary in choosing the right parenting pattern and must be applied in order to achieve the desired achievement. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between parenting patterns and GPA during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods : This research was conducted at the level III students of Nursing and Nurses totaling 42 students and the method used was total sampling. Data collection was carried out on July 5, done online using Google Form for 24 hours. Statistical test using the Kendall Tau test. Results: The results of the research from 42 respondents regarding univariate analysis, the average age of students is 21 years, the gender of the majority of women is 38 students, the majority GPA gets a very satisfactory predicate 22 students, the majority of parenting patterns are 33 (78.6%). Then bivariate analysis with the Kendall Tau statistical test, the results showed that there was no significant relationship between parenting and GPA with p value = 0.790. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between parenting and GPA. Suggestion: Discuss other factors that affect GPA. Keywords: Parenting, Grade Point Average, Covid-19.
