Abstract
Background : One way to minimize the infection of children from Covid-19 is to provide knowledge about clean and healthy living behavior with 5M. Animation media and leaflets are suitable media for children because children who watch animated videos are basically directly or indirectly affected, both sociologically and psychologically. Objective: To know the difference in the level of knowledge of children aged 6-12 years before and after being given education about Clean and Healthy Life Behavior during the Covid-19 Pandemic Methods: This research design uses a pre-experimental research design with a one group pre-post test design. The sample in this study was children aged 6-12 years in the area of RT.10 RW.03 Sukarami as many as 44 children with purposive sampling technique. Primary data was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires which was carried out for 4 days from 13-16 June 2021. Results: Univariate analysis for the variable the mean age of the respondents was 8.18 years. for the variables, most of the respondents were female as many as 26 respondents (59.1%). The knowledge of respondents before being given an intervention obtained an average value of 7.48 and after being given an intervention (posttest) an average value of 9.23 was obtained. The results of hypothesis testing with t-test obtained p value = 0.000 > 0.05 so that the decision taken is Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a difference in the level of knowledge of children aged 6-12 before and after being given education about PHBS through 5M during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Suggestion: People in the RT.10 RW.03 area should comply more with health protokols, to prevent the transmission of the covid-19 virus. The head of the RT is expected to be able to provide education to the community, especially children, about 5M PHBS in their environment.
