Abstract

Background: Covid is an infectious disease that attacks the human respiratory tract and can also cause pneumonia caused by the corona virus. The spread of the corona virus is very fast and wide because one of the transmissions is through droplets (air). The attitude of teenagers who often assume that the transmission of Covid-19 is a risk to the elderly, so there are still many teenagers who do not comply with health protocols. This happens because of the idea that young people are not easily infected with Covid-19. This causes danger not only to teenagers but to those around them. Purpose : To find out the description of adolescent attitudes towards the transmission of Covid-19. Methods: This study used a cross sectional method, the population in this study was 75 students of SMA Methodis 1 Palembang with a total sample of 65 people who were taken with the Total Samplig technique and analyzed univariately. Results: the results obtained were the youngest age 15 years, the oldest age 17 years. The sexes were 33 (50.8%) male and 32 (49.2%) female. where the variable shows positive adolescent attitudes towards Covid-19 transmission as many as 38 respondents (57.6%) while negative adolescent attitudes towards Covid-19 transmission as many as 27 (40.9%).
