Abstract
Background : When learning outside the network, students must have knowledge of COVID-19 prevention. The offline learning process will begin, students must comply with the health protocols recommended by the government such as the 5 M (washing hands, maintaining distance, wearing masks, staying away from crowds and reducing physical mobility). Student problems occur when there is a lack of knowledge about COVID-19 prevention in preparing for offline learning. Objective : This study aims to describe the knowledge of adolescents about the prevention of covid'19 in preparing for offline learning. Methods: The research method uses a descriptive survey method with a cross sectional research design. The population in this study were students of SMA Methodist 1 Palembang City amounted to 146 respondents. Sampling using Proportional Stratifed Random Sampling technique in order to obtain a sample of 66 respondents. Data collection using a questionnaire about the prevention of covid-19 in preparing for offline learning. Valid tests were carried out on students at Methodiat 2 High School Palembang City with a total sample of 30 respondents. Results: Respondents who have age characteristics indicate that the minimum age of the respondent is 14 years and the maximum is 17 years and the median value is 16 years. The frequency distribution of female respondents is more, amounting to 34 out of 66 (51.5%) compared to male respondents, only 32 of 66 (48.5%) good knowledge respondents as many as 49 respondents (74.2%), which 12 respondents (18.2%) had sufficient knowledge, and 5 respondents (7.6%) had insufficient knowledge. Suggestion: When offline learning has started, students are required to follow the health protocols recommended by the government such as 5 M (washing hands, maintaining distance, wearing masks, staying away from crowds and reducing physical mobility) during the current pandemic.
