Abstract

This study aims to discuss the development of weight meansurement problems using the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Educaton Approach (PMRI) in the context of snacj so as to produce valid, practical, and effective question (having potential effects). The study employs design research with the two stages of development study, preliminary and formative preliminary. The sample used in this study consisted of 3 students at the one-to-one stage, 6 students at the small group stage, and 17 students at the field test stage. Data collection techniques in this study consisted of documents, walkthrough, observations, interviews, and test. At ths stage the data collection techniques used in the form of document analysis, walkthroughts, observations, interviews, and test analysis. The study yielded 10 valid problems development after making expert review and being tested at one-to-one, practically after passing trials at the small group stage, and effectively (having potential effects) after passing the field test. Keywords:Problem development, PMRI, Snacks.
