Abstract

Palembang is the capital of South Sumatra province, which is a region that continues to experience rapid development in various fields, especially in the field of housing. This makes a lot of people of Palembang difficulty in finding information scattered housing complex in the city of Palembang. So, it is needed an information system that serves to provide information to facilitate Palembang residents know the location of a housing complex in the city of Palembang. So one of the ways that will be applied by researchers in providing solutions for the citizens of Palembang is to build "Geographic Information System Layout housing complex in the city of Palembang by using ArcView". This application can display a map of the city of Palembang and location of the housing complex. In making this application, researchers used waterfall model of system development methodologies, as well as the programming language PHP and MySQL database. This application is expected to help citizens, especially citizens of Palembang in the search location housing complex and complete profile information such housing complex.
