Abstract
Background: Nursing documentation is an important concern in monitoring the quality of care as evidenced by the results achieved by the patient. When sources of funding and good care are commonplace, nursing evaluations are ignored and in fact many nurses record nursing assessments and care but leave the analysis and evaluation to others who read the records (Iyer, 2004, p. 5). Trisno, Nursalam and Triharini's research showed that nursing documentation was 69.3% in the incomplete category and 41.3% in the good category. Nursing documentation that is not ideal indicates that the nursing care process is not going well. Objective: This study aims to analyze the comparison of the quality of nursing care based on education level, length of work, and career path of nurses at Ar Rasyid Hospital Palembang. Methods: This study uses an analytic survey method by assessing nursing care at Ar Rasyid Hospital Palembang using a cross-sectional approach and sampling technique using Total Sampling and the Mann-Whitney test on 25 respondents. Results: The results of the research obtained are as follows. The average age of the respondents was 25.88, the most education was at D3 Nursing as many as 16 respondents (64%), the most nurses working years were <5 years as many as 20 respondents (80%), the highest nurse career path was PK I as many as 19 respondents (76 %), and the highest quality of nursing care was in good category as many as 17 documents (68 %). The results of the comparative analysis showed that there was no difference in the quality of nursing care documentation based on education (p : 0.441 ), length of work (p : 0.674 ), and career path (p : 0.937 ). Suggestion: Nurses maintain and improve the quality of nursing care as seen from the documentation of nursing care. For further research, different research methods should be used as well as observations to nurses and type B hospitals. Keywords: Nursing Care, Career Path, Length of Work, Education
