Abstract

Background: Online learning is a learning system that utilizes technology sys-tems and the internet as a medium in the learning process, this learning causes students to feel confused and experience obstacles that are felt during the online learning process such as bored and bored so that students experience stress. Stress is the response of a person's body to an unpleasant condition or environment. Therefore, family support, especially parents, is needed by students during online learning. Family support can lead to a perception in adolescents that there is a feeling of being supported by the family so that it makes things easier. Objective: To investigate the correlation between family support and adolescent stress level during online learning at SMP Santo Luis Palembang. Methods: This quantitative research used an analytical survey design with a cross- sectional approach. The total sampling technique was employed to select 57 respondents of this study. Kendal’s Tau test was a bivariate analysis applied to analyze the data. Results: The majority of the stress levels experienced by the adolescents was 46 (80.7%). The majority of good support from the family during online learning was 40 (70.2%). The majority of 14-year-old respondents was 28 (49.1%) and the majority of male respondents was 33 (57.9%). The results of the analysis showed that there was no relationship between family support and adolescent stress levels with p-value of 0.556 and r-value of 0.075. Suggestion: Teenagers are advised to do their favorite activities after online learning such as playing games and watching movies, and for the school to be able to motivate families to increase emotional support.
