Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a common chronic disease in adults that requires continuous medical supervision and self-care education for patients. The general purpose of this scientific paper is so that the author is able to understand the concept of theory and perform nursing care for Mr. H.'s patients with type 2 endocrine system disorders: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Type 2 at the Fransiskus Charitas Hopital Pavilion KM Palembang.The specific objectives include: nurses are able to understand the basic concepts of medic theory, conduct assessments., decide nursing diagnoses experienced by patients, compile nursing plans, take nursing actions and evaluate nursing care that has been done on.Writing Scientific Writing uses the Case Study method: Interview, Physical Examination, Observation for 2 days. After conducting the assessment, 7 nursing diagnoses were obtained, namely instability of blood glucose levels, acute pain, the risk of ineffective renal perfusion, urinary elimination disorders, disturbed sleep patterns, physical mobility disorders, and ineffective health management. Patients go home forced. The conclusion that can be drawn from this scientific paper is on diagnosis 1: Instability of blood glucose levels associated with insulin resistance partially resolved, patients go home forced. Diagnosis 2: Acute pain associated with physiological injury agents (gouty arthritis) is partially resolved.Diagnosis 3: Risk of renal perfusion is partially resolved. Diagnosis 4: Impaired urine elimination associated with decreased bladder capacity has not been fixed. Diagnosis 5: Disorders of sleep patterns associated with pain and nocturia are partially resolved. Diagnosis 6: Impaired physical mobility associated with partially resolved pain. Diagnosis 7: Ineffective health management due to complexity of treatment / care programs overcame. Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus, Endocrine System, Blood Glucose Levels.
