Abstract
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system is a unique Japanese system of managerial expertise. TPM is designed to prevent the occurrence of a loss due to work, caused by failures and adjustments, speed losses resulting from minor stoppages and speed reductions, and losses due to defects caused by defects in the process of commencement and decline in yield by improving manufacturing methods with the use and equipment maintenance. Calculation of effectiveness using TPM method will be applied in a company that is CV Sumber Terang Mulia Fibreglass to determine the effectiveness of water collection machine.Data retrieval was conducted from July to September 2020. After the data was obtained, the calculation of TPM to determine the number of effectiveness of the machine. Production effectiveness (PE) and Quality level (RQ) have not met JIPM standard that is 75,8673% and 96,2552%. Initial repair steps begin by arranging a planned maintenance schedule such as a preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance schedule.
