Abstract

CV. Arwana Mas produces the main product, namely box panel. The problem faced by the company is that it has never carried out a comprehensive productivity measurement so it is limited to the financial aspect only. Productivity measurement is done using the Objective Matrix (OMAX) method to determine the productivity index and its causes so that productivity can be increased. The highest value of productivity index at CV. Arwana Mas, which occurred in August 2020 with an increase of 57.81% from the previous month and the worst value of the productivity index occurred in July 2020 with a decrease of -45.74% from the previous month. For this reason, a cause and effect diagram is used to determine the causes of decreased productivity, namely the human factor is the worker feeling bored, then the machine factor is the age of the machine which is old and rarely performs maintenance, then the method factor is that the SOP is not implemented properly, and finally the environmental factor is the hot room temperature. Of the 4 factors that cause the problem, a plan is made to suggest improvements to any existing problems in order to improve and increase productivity.
