Abstract

Kopi Bubuk Cap Jempol SMEs is an SMEs that produces ground coffee. There are two types of ground coffee sold by Kopi Bubuk Cap Jempol SMEs, namely premium and non-premium ground coffee with the type of coffee is robusta. Premium ground coffee uses raw robusta coffee with good quality due to the fruit picking process by means of red picking and harvested from the garden itself, while non-premium ground coffee beans are taken from farmers and the quality of picking is not really cared about by the Kopi Bubuk Cap Jempol SMEs. In order to meet the demand for non-premium ground coffee, Kopi Cap Jempol SMEs collects coffee stocks from farmers. Until October, the total stock of raw coffee raw materials collected was 28.6 tons. With this amount, the Kopi Cap Jempol SMEs can be said to experience one of the 7 wastes of manufacturing, namely the waste of inventory because with this amount it can meet the demand for up to 24 periods if divided by the average demand for each period. Then do the raw material control using the Q method. Based on the results of calculations using the Q method, and compared with the amount of raw material stock before control, SMEs get a cost savings of Rp. 473,708,000, - or experience savings of 0.964%.
