Abstract

PALEMBANG GRAND MOSQUE Palembang Grand Mosque is an educational tourism area consisting of several facilities such as Foodcourt, worship areas, libraries, pool areas, and many other facilities. All of these facilities only in Palembang Grand Mosque. The construction of the Palembang Great Mosque has several benefits, becoming an educational tourism facility for both local and foreign visitors, and introducing Islamic religion which is wrapped in an interesting form of interior and exterior design from the Palembang Grand Mosque. Also, the presence of the Palembang Great Mosque can be a unifying identity of the heterogeneous Palembang community where the Palembang Raya Mosque is not only for Islam but also for non-Islam. The theme applied in the design of the Palembang Great Mosque was "Beauty of Islam". This theme is manifested in buildings through the style of green architecture and contemporary architects.
