Abstract

This study to examine the effect of Employee Stock Option Plan’s Announcement to Abnormal Return and Trading Volume Activity. The population of this study were all companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange which were announced Employee Stock Option Plan. Those samples were taken by purposive sampling method. The samples can be used were 26 companies with 67 observations. Testing the hypotesis using paired t-test with the help of R. The test result showed that the first hypothesis (H1) which states that the effect of Employee Stock Option Plan’s Announcement to Abnormal Return which can be showed by the difference of Abnormal Return before and after Employee Stock Option Plan’s Announcement, was rejected. The second hypothesis (H2) which states that the effect of Employee Stock Option Plan’s Announcement to Trading Volume Activity which can be showed by the difference of Trading Volume Activity before and after Employee Stock Option Plan’s Announcement, was rejected.
