Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of budget participation, social pressure, conflict of interest to budgetary slack. The population in this study is the head of the branch and all managers involved in the preparation of the company BUMN/BUMD in Palembang. Determination of the samples was done by using purposive sampling method. The number of samples in this study were 95 respondents. The method of analysis used in this is multiple regression analysis, and hynotheses were tested with t test with the help of Statistik R 2.11.1 program. The result of this research shows that (1) budget participation had no positive significant influence to budgetary slack, (2) social pressure had positive significant influence to budgetary slack, and (3) conflict of interest had no negative significant influence to budgetary slack.
