Abstract

Every human being does activities. In doing so, it takes an activity space that meets the requirements, one of which is thermal comfort. The front porch of the lobby and the hall at the Faculty of Science and Technology Building at the Musi Charitas Catholic University is one of the activity spaces used as connecting rooms and gathering places. Because of its function, thermal comfort is needed to provide comfort for the user. This research was conducted to examine and determine the thermal conditions on the front porch of the lobby and the hall had met the recommended comfort standards or not. Data collection techniques are carried out by surveys, as well as measurements with anemometer and HOBOware measuring instruments and simulations using the CBE Thermal Comfort Tool and Ecotect Analysis application with the Daylight Factor feature. The results obtained from the measurement that the thermal conditions on the front porch of the lobby and the hall of the Faculty of Science and Technology at the Musi Charitas Catholic University were uncomfortable.
