Abstract

Background: The recurrence number for hallluciantion patients are very high without therapy family, this recurrence would also affect anxiety for family in case the family did not know how to handle the patient recurrence. So, health education is needed to increase the knowledge for family until itwill reduce the family anxiety level about recurrance hallusination patient. Objective: this reserach aims to know the effect of health education for family anxiety level towards the recurrence hallucination patient at Poly Outpatient Ernaldi Bahar Hospital 2016. Method: The research uses quantitative reseach as the method with Pre-experimental design from one group pre-post test. Population in this reseach is all the family with hallutination patient at Poly Outpatient Ernaldi Bahar Hospital 2016.Researcher also applies purposive sampling technique to take the sample for this research and they are 98 respondents. Result: The result will be tests with wilcoxon signed ranks test. As the result, the anxiety level before giving health education is high anxiety as much as 46 (46,9%) and the anxiety level after giving health education is 36 (36,7%). So, it can be concluded that p-valuae = 0,025<0,05 which means before and after giving health education for the family anxiety level is effetctive. Hopefully, the health workers can give more the health education about handling recurrence hallucination patient and give the explanation again for the family to handle patients recurrence.
