Abstract

With the rapid development of information and communication technology, the use of eLearning has become a part of the learning process in tertiary institutions. However, limited human resources, infrastructure, and financing often become obstacles to the development of eLearning. Therefore, universities need the ability to manage and develop their eLearning to get greater eLearning benefits for students and institutions. This study analyzes how to develop a university eLearning business process model that is aligned with the goals of the university learning process. By taking eLearning studies at eLisa Universitas Gadjah Mada, this research utilizes the Education Enterprise Architecture (EEA) business architecture framework. Increased utilization of EEA instructional process items to 77.4% in eLisa business processes resulted in changes in the learning process scenarios with eLisa. These changes resulted in more concrete involvement of the university's internal units in the process of developing learning at eLisa. Also, the direction of the learning process at eLisa becomes more oriented towards meeting the learning needs of students independently and interdisciplinary in harmony with the goals of the university learning process.
