Abstract

This study aims to examine the differences between the financial performance of banks with insurance companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange from the year 2009 to 2011. The population in this study is the companies listed banks and insurers in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Sample determined by using purposive sampling method. The research sample was obtained by 51 companies. Hypothesis testing using independent t-test with SPSS ver. 20.0. The test results showed that the hypothesis is accepted, there are differences between the financial performance of banks with insurance companies in the year 2009 - 2011 are measured using Return On Assets (ROA), Current Assets (CR), Capital Structure (SM), Equity Per Share (EQPS) , and Return On Investment (ROI).
