Abstract

Barrier to Entry memiliki peran yang sangat penting bagi perusahaan dalam memenangkan persaingan utamanya bagi perbankan. Hal ini dikarenakan barrier to entry berfungsi sebagai “perisai” sekaligus “pedang” bagi perusahaan yang mampu memanfaatkannya. Artinya barrier to entry dapat menjadi penghalang bagi para pesaing baru yang ingin masuk dan berkompetisi dan sekaligus dapat memperlega pangsa pasar pihak yang memilikinya dan pada akhirnya akan berimplikasi pada kinerja perbankan tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2015-2018, dengan menggunakan bantuan program spss 23 untuk melakukan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa barier to entry tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan perbankan di Indonesia.
