Abstract

Background : Hypertension is the biggest cause of death in the worldwide, that is because less of special attention for hypertension that be able causing complication. Hypertension as an chronic desease who the management must be doing continous. Hypertention is a deases that need a good medication adherence for controll the blood pressure. A bad medication adherence is still being a big problem in hypertensive patient. So, that need a special management to resolve that adherence problem. One of factor that be able to increase adherence is the knowledge especially of drug management. Purpose : the purpose of this study was to know Relationship Between Knowledge of Drug Management with Medication Adherence in Hypertensive Patient at RK Charitas Hospital Palembang Method : this study was using survey analitic method with cross sectional design and the sample used as much as 32 respondents. Result : the result of this study founded has relationship between Between Knowledge of Drug Management with Medication Adherence with p value=0,032. Based on the result as a nurse to increase medication adherence be able giving education about knowledge of drug management. Conclusion : knowledge of drug management is affecting medicine adherence thats why it could be as an important education for patient of hypertention.
