Abstract
In measuring students' scientific literacy skills, the International Student Assessment Program (PISA) looks at four interrelated aspects, namely context, knowledge, content, knowledge, and attitude towards science. Student literacy ability once a year in 2000. The average literacy score of 64 PISA participating countries is 501 while the Indonesian literacy score is 382. Learning in the 2013 curriculum, students are required to be used in the learning process. There is support in improving the literacy culture of one of the arguments skills. Based on the survey results above, the researchers want to know about the problems that are being faced by the world of education today. In accordance with the basic capabilities that have been possessed, the researchers want to know about the problems raised in learning. Based on the results of the research by giving students the argumentation questions obtained that the students 'argumentation skills are still low, the students' argumentation skills are still low. Students in arguments are limited to making simple forms and data without data, warrant and support.
