Abstract

The development of the Indonesian capital market and the convenience of digital technology have increased opportunities for young people to engage in stock investment. University students constitute a significant group for study, as their investment interest can be influenced by financial literacy, psychological tendencies, and ease of access to digital technology. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, behavioral bias, and ease of digital access on stock investment interest among university students in Palembang City. A quantitative approach with a causal-associative research design was employed. Primary data were collected via Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to 106 students selected through purposive sampling and subsequently analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results indicate that financial literacy has a significant negative effect on stock investment interest, whereas behavioral bias has a significant positive effect. Ease of digital access also has a significant positive effect and represents the variable with the largest influence coefficient. Collectively, the three variables significantly influence stock investment interest with an F-value of 60.906 and a significance level of 0.000 and account for 65.6% of the variation in investment interest. The study concludes that students investment interest is shaped by cognitive, psychological, and technological factors. Future research is advised to consider variables beyond the scope of this study's model.
