Abstract

Background: Hallucinations are one of the symptoms of mental disorders in individuals which are characterized by sensory perception changes, namely feeling false sensations in the form of sounds, sight, tasting, touching or smelling. The application of drawing therapy in patients with auditory hallucination disorder can divert patients to focus more on positive activities and reduce hallucinogenic stimuli. Objective: To apply and analyze Nursing Care in Patients with Mental Disorders with the implementation of the application of drawing therapy to control auditory hallucinations. Methods: The method used in this study is descriptive analysis with a case study approach. This case study describes the application of drawing therapy to reduce signs and symptoms in auditory hallucination patients. This study was conducted by providing an intervention to apply drawing therapy with 15 minutes every day to three respondents for 7 consecutive days. Results: Based on the application of EBP on drawing therapy to three respondents who experienced auditory hallucinations, it was found that the results of Mr. R experienced a decrease in hallucinations from a moderate hallucinatory level with a score of (22) to a mild hallucination level with a score of (9). In brother B, there was a decrease in hallucinations from moderate hallucinations with a score of (20) to no hallucinations on days 6 and 7 with a score of (0). In the JS family, there was a decrease in hallucinations from a moderate hallucination level with a score of (20) to no hallucinations on day 7 with a score of (0). Sugestion: It is hoped that the results of this study can provide an understanding of the application of drawing therapy to control auditory hallucinations and can be applied in the future when hallucinations recur.
