Abstract

Background: Individuals who enter the age of 60 are prone to increased anxiety problems, among other things. This condition can cause the elderly to be unable to carry out activities calmly and reduce their well-being and happiness. One of the efforts to overcome this is through sweet orange aromatherapy to reduce anxiety levels. Objective: To analyze the effect of sweet orange aromatherapy on seizures in elderly patients . Methods: The design used in the preparation of this Final Scientific Paper is a case study with an intervention in the form of sweet orange aromatherapy. The number of respondents was 3 people, the intervention was carried out for four days with a frequency of one time a day, starting on January 4 to January 8, 2026, at the Francis Charitas Room of Hospital Arga Makmur. Results: After performing Sweet Orange aromatherapy for four consecutive days in the three elderly people, there was a change in GAS score at the final meeting, namely Mrs. R's anxiety level from 37 to 20, Mrs. S anxiety level from 35 to 21, Mrs. D anxiety level from 33 to 19. Conclusion: There was a decrease in anxiety levels before and after being given Sweet Orange aromatherapy to the three respondents. Suggestion: The application of EBP is expected to increase information about the administration of Sweet Orange aromatherapy to the elderly with anxiety problems
