Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of risk perception and financial self-efficacy on gold investment intention among Generation Z in Palembang City. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents who met the research criteria, using a purposive sampling technique. The sample consisted of 100 Generation Z respondents in Palembang City. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. The results show that risk perception has a positive and significant effect on gold investment intention. In addition, financial self-efficacy also has a positive and significant effect on gold investment intention. These findings indicate that the higher the risk perception and the stronger an individual’s confidence in managing financial matters, the higher the intention of Generation Z to invest in gold in Palembang City.
