Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of capital structure and liquidity on firm value in basic and chemical industry subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2022–2024 period. The research method used is an associative quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique, resulting in 40 companies with a total of 120 observations. The data used are secondary data in the form of financial reports and stock prices. The analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression, with hypothesis testing using the bootstrapping method because the data did not fully meet classical assumptions. The results show that capital structure, as measured by the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), does not significantly affect firm value. Meanwhile, liquidity, as measured by the Current Ratio (CR), has a positive and significant effect on firm value. Liquidity is a factor that investors consider more than capital structure in determining firm value in this subsector.
