Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial information utilization, financial capability, and business experience on stock investment interest by MSMEs in Palembang City. The study uses a quantitative approach with a causal associative research type. The study population is MSMEs in Palembang City, with a sample of 105 respondents obtained through direct questionnaire distribution. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS program, accompanied by validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficients of determination (Adjusted R Square). The results show that the use of financial information does not significantly influence stock investment interest, while financial capability and business experience have a positive and significant effect on stock investment interest. Simultaneously, the three independent variables have a significant effect on stock investment interest, with an Adjusted R Square value of 0.949, meaning that 94.9% of the variation in investment interest can be explained by these three variables. This study concludes that increasing financial capability and business experience of MSMEs are important factors in encouraging stock investment interest, while the use of financial information has not been a primary driver in investment decisions.
