Abstract

Health is a very important basic component of human. Therefore a healthy life strongly supports a nation's life in order to become a strong country because the human itself is strong and healthy. Disease that has been experienced is a physical disease that disrupt a person's health. Moreover, to a person who is carrying a baby. Later the disease can be transmitted to the child's mother or offspring and will interfere with the physical development of the child itself. While the children themself are still in need of special care in the development and growth. Hence the need for facilities for maternal and child health is needed in order to accommodate the a big number of births and can provide a more adequate handling of labor and childbirth optimaly so it can occur safely and healthy. In Palembang city itself already has a few hospitals for mother and children but the numbers do not mean much because the many people who are ill were rushed to the General Hospital or medical specialist who practices in several places. Whereas in fact the mother and child’s illnesses need more intensive treatment, or more specifically given to the mother and child. Therefore, it takes a special hospital for mother and children in the city of Palembang which have more adequated facilities, has an atmosphere that gives a positive impression on patients as well as a more comfortable treatment.
