Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence and work motivation on the performance of receptionists at 4 star hotels in Palembang. This study uses a quantitative approach with purposive sampling techniques for receptionists who have worked for at least one year and are at least 18 years old. Primary data was obtained through questionnaires from 81 respondents. Data analysis included instrument feasibility testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis, model feasibility testing, and hypothesis testing to determine the hypotheses of this study. The results showed that Emotional Intelligence and Work Motivation had a positive and significant effect on the Performance of Receptionists at 4 Star Hotels in Palembang.
