Abstract

This Internship Program was conducted at PT Satya Putra Persada with the objective of developing a web-based payroll application to support the employee payroll process. The background of this internship is the payroll data processing that was still carried out manually, which could lead to calculation errors, delays in report generation, and inefficient data management. The sistem development methodology used was Rapid Application Development (RAD), which emphasizes fast and iterative sistem development through requirement planning, sistem design, and implementation stages. Sistem modeling was carried out using Unified Modeling Language (UML) to describe the process flow and sistem structure. The payroll application was developed on a web-based platform using the PHP programming language, CodeIgniter 3 framework, and MySQL database as the data storage medium. The development process was supported by the Apache web server and Windows operating sistem. The results of this internship indicate that the developed payroll application is able to improve the efficiency and accuracy of payroll data processing, assist administrative staff in managing employee data, and reduce errors in salary calculations. Overall, the application can serve as a supporting solution for the company’s payroll sistem.
