Abstract

The successful implementation of the Digital Population Identity Application (Identitas Kependudukan Digital/IKD) is strongly influenced by the level of public readiness and acceptance of digital technology. User readiness in utilizing digital applications has a direct impact on the acceptance and use of such applications in daily life. The IKD application is an innovation developed by the Ministry of Home Affairs aimed at simplifying population administration services through an integrated digital system. This study aims to analyze the readiness and acceptance of the people of Palembang City toward the use of the IKD application using the Technology Readiness and Acceptance Model (TRAM). This research employs a quantitative method with data collected through questionnaires and uses purposive sampling as the sampling technique. The collected data were analyzed using the Technology Readiness Index (TRI) and hypothesis testing to examine the relationships among variables in the research model. The results show that the TRI value is 3.182, which falls into the medium category, indicating that the community is generally ready to accept the IKD application, although the level of readiness is not yet optimal. In addition, of the ten proposed hypotheses, several were accepted while others were rejected, indicating the presence of user hesitation, limited understanding, and a lack of familiarity with the features of the IKD application.
