Abstract

Practical Work is a mandatory activity in architectural education that helps students bridge theory and professional practice, and equips them with real-world experience. This course aims to foster knowledge in the field of professional architecture, allowing students to further explore the architectural workplace. This study serves as a comparison for students, enabling them to apply and adjust the knowledge acquired theoretically during university learning with the knowledge gained directly from the workplace, both in design and field applications. In writing this internship report, the author uses data collection methods including literature studies from books, research journals, discussions with office supervisors, and direct field observations. Projects included the construction of type 136 residential buildings, as well as type 100 residences. The internship location was at THE HOMETOWN Housing Complex, Jalan Karya Baru, Alang-alang Lebar, Km 7, Palembang. To gain sufficient experience and knowledge, the author undertook the internship at THE HOMETOWN Housing Complex from Tuesday, February 4th to Thursday, May 22nd, 2025.
