Abstract

Adequate knowledge about casual sex is very important for teenagers to prevent risky premarital sexual behavior. Although adolescents face enormous biological and social pressures during puberty, they often lack adequate education. Factors such as environment, media influence, and lack of communication with parents exacerbate this situation. This research aims to measure the level of knowledge of adolescents as a basis for designing more effective sex education programs. Objective : The main aim of this research is to describe the level of knowledge of teenagers about free sex at State High School in Lalan Musi Banyuasin District. Methods : This quantitative research with a Univariate design was carried out on August 2 2025 at State High School, Lalan District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The research population was all class X students (52 boys and 58 girls). A total of 110 respondents were sampled using the total sampling method. Data was collected using a printed questionnaire. Result : Of the 110 teenagers studied, the majority had insufficient knowledge. 49.0% (54 respondents) had poor knowledge, 44.5% (49 respondents) had sufficient knowledge, Only 1.0% (1 respondent) had good knowledge. These results indicate that the majority of adolescents really need further education to increase their understanding of casual sex and help them avoid risky behavior. Suggestion : It is recommended that schools and parents be proactive in providing inclusive and sustainable sex education to teenagers. This education must emphasize character formation, the ability to choose relationships, and the skills to filter the influence of social media. With the right education, teenagers are expected to be able to make decisions regarding sexuality wisely and responsibly. Key Words : Free Sex Knowledge
