Abstract
Parenting stress is a significant challenge for working women, who must balance career demands with domestic responsibilities, as well as early childcare. This study aims to explore the dynamics of parenting stress in working mothers using a qualitative phenomenological approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with purposive sampling of participants and analyzed using IPA techniques. The results indicate that parenting stress in female banking workers is influenced by several factors. These include difficulty managing time between work and child development, lack of social support from their immediate environment, reduced personal freedom and time for themselves (me-time), and communication conflicts with their partners, especially in long-distance relationships (LDMs). Observed impacts of parenting stress include physical exhaustion, health problems, dissatisfaction with the parenting role, and emotional changes such as irritability or crying. Furthermore, difficult child behavior, such as tantrums or dependence on devices, also triggers stress for mothers. This study recommends time and self-management, adaptive coping strategies, and increased social support and communication with partners to share the burden of parenting.
