Abstract

In recent years, the integration of digital learning media has become increasingly prevalent in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom, promising enhanced engagement and learning outcomes. This study aims to gather the opinions of both EFL teachers and students regarding the utilization of digital learning media within classroom activities. Qualitative approach with descriptive design is used in this study which involved twenty-five students and two teachers by using purposive sampling technique. To obtain the data, questionnaires and interviews were used and analyzed descriptively. Nine statements in the questionnaire, which covered two categories namely the ease of using digital learning media and the problems faced by teachers and students during the use of digital learning media, were responded by using Likert Scale (from Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree). In addition, two questions were given in the interview session to obtain information about the benefits of using digital learning media in classroom activities and the obstacles encountered during the use of digital learning media. The findings revealed that using digital learning media offers its own benefits and challenges in classroom activities. The interpretations may also provide valuable insights for educators in designing effective classroom activities by including digital media to offer more interesting learning situations for students.
