Abstract

Maternal health indicators are seen in the high Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR). According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the MMR in 2023 has increased to 346 per 100,000 live births. According to the Ministry of Health, the MMR in 2023 has reached 4,482 cases. In 2023, there were 97 cases of MMR in South Sumatra and 16 cases in Palembang City. Based on the medical records at PMB “N” in 2022-2024, there were no Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). One of the midwives' efforts to reduce maternal mortality and infant mortality is by providing continuous midwifery care. This care aims to provide Continuity of Care (COC) to Mrs. “T” at PMB “N” Palembang from July 24, 2024 to February 6, 2025 starting from pregnancy and childbirth. This report employs a case study design with descriptive primary and secondary data collection techniques. The results obtained on Mrs. “T” during pregnancy with emesis gravidarum and childbirth with indications of Premature Rupture of Membranes (PROM), the newborn’s weight: 2437 grams, its length: 46 cm, sex: male and normal postpartum. The conclusion from the results of this case study was that Mrs. “T” during pregnancy, childbirth is indicated by PROM, neonatus and normal postpartum. It is hoped that PMB could maintain the midwifery care service of Continuity of Care (COC) to minimize complications and detect early danger signs during pregnancy, childbirth, newborns, and postpartum.
