Abstract
Background: Hypertension is a condition in which a person experiences elevated blood pressure, with systolic pressure reaching ≥140 mmHg or diastolic pressure ≥90 mmHg. Low-impact aerobic exercise is recommended for seniors with hypertension because it is beneficial in maintaining and improving the endurance of the heart, lungs, and circulatory system. To obtain optimal benefits, do it regularly for 20-50 minutes per day, 3 times a week. Objective: To analyze low impact aerobic exercise on blood pressure in hypertension patients. Methods:. In the application of evidence-based practice, the research design used is quantitative research using a case study approach. Result: Based on the results of this study, it shows that low impact aerobic exercise for three days reduced blood pressure in the three respondents with pre and post intervention results with the first respondent (140/80 – 130/70 – 130/90 mmHg), the second respondent (150/90 – 160/80 – 150/70 mmHg), and the third respondent (150/80 – 110/70 – 130/70 mmHg). Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it shows that there were changes in blood pressure in the three respondents after the low impact aerobic exercise intervention. Suggestion: This research is expected to motivate respondents to routinely do low-impact aerobic exercise independently to control blood pressure. Keywords: Hypertension, Low Impact Aerobic
