Abstract

This research aims to develop a Montessori-based sandbox media in Indonesian language learning. This research uses research and development, namely Research & Development (R&D). The research model used in this study is the ADDIE model. This research is carried out in several stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects in this study are students in grades 1A, 1B, and 1C at SD Baptist Palembang. From the results of the research and discussion, it was concluded as follows, first, the development of a Montessori-based sandbox in Indonesian language learning in grade I of SD Baptist Palembang is needed. This is strengthened by the existence of a needs analysis. Second, the sandbox design developed is larger than the previous sandbox design. Third, the results of 3 language validators, 3 material validators, and 3 Montessori media validators show that the development of Montessori-based sandbox media in Indonesian language learning for grade I students of SD Baptist Palembang is very feasible to use in Indonesian Language Learning, with an average score of 92% in the results of material validation, 89% of the language validation results, and in the media validation of 89% of the average score of 89%.
