Abstract
DESCRIPTIVE ANALYSIS OF CHILDREN'S PERCEPTIONS OF PARENTING PATTERNS This study aims to explore children's perceptions of parenting provided by parents. The study used a descriptive method with a quantitative approach, with data collected through a parenting perception scale questionnaire. The respondents of this study were children aged 10-12 years, totaling 83 children. The results showed that democratic parenting is the most dominant parenting style perceived by children as having been done by parents. The second most widely used parenting style is permissive, characterized by a lack of parental control that inhibits children's discipline. The lowest perceived parenting style was authoritarian, characterized by restrictions on children's behavior and lack of emotional involvement. Keywords: Parenting, Democratic parenting, Authoritarian parenting, Permissive parenting.
