Abstract
This study aims to describe the Implementation of the Role Playing Learning Model in the Social Sciences Subject of Class VA SD Baptist Palembang, with the material of the Economic Condition of My Region with the theme of local wisdom in Palembang including pempek, songket and pasar 16. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects of the study were all students of class VA with a total of 20 students and the object of the study was the role playing learning model. Data collection techniques for observation, interviews, tests, documentation and data validity were carried out with triangulation between researchers towards the learning process. Data processing techniques carried out with data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the study showed that the application of the role playing model was successfully implemented with an involvement of 78.6% and student motivation of 80% based on the results of reflections written by students, information was obtained that students reported feelings of joy and enthusiasm for learning. Through role activities, students can not only explore knowledge about regional economic aspects, but also develop social skills such as collaboration and communication.
