Abstract

Background: Nursing is a health science that focuses on helping individuals, both sick and healthy, with various activities that can contribute to health, recovery, and/or peaceful death. Nursing requires nursing documentation consisting of nursing care. Therefore, it is necessary to comply with nursing documentation based on Indonesian Nursing Standards, especially on nursing outcomes, by looking at the conformity of data with SLKI guidelines from the type of outcomes, expectations and outcome criteria. Objective: To determine the description of nursing care outcomes for internal medicine patients in the inpatient room of Charitas Hospital Palembang. Method: Quantitative research using a descriptive survey design with a cross-sectional approach, using observation sheets as a measuring tool, using total sampling with a sample size of 37 documents. Results: Frequency distribution of female gender 10 (76.9%), male 3 (23.1%). Diploma III education level 7 (53.85), S1 + Nurses 6 (46.2%). The clinical level of pre-PK nurses was 2 (15.2%), PK 1 was 1 (23.1%), PK 3 was 7 (53.8%), PK 4 was 1 (7.7%). The types of positive outcomes were 27 (35%) and negative 50 (65%). Expectations increased 10 (13%), expectations decreased 49 (64%), expectations improved 18 (23%). Result criteria were in accordance with 45 (58%), not in accordance with 32 (42%). Suggestion: This study recommends that hospitals for health workers use the standard nursing guidelines that have been set by PPNI for nursing documentation.
